Sheridan High School
Updated: March 26, 2021
There is no formal structure for holding a high school class reunion. Sheridan High School does not have the resources to put on or coordinate class reunions. If your class has never held a reunion, you can get help and guidance from the Schools Committee of the Historical Society. Contact Roger B. Rowland at email@example.com from the Historical Society for assistance. Most classes hold their reunions every ten years. Some classes hold reunions every five years. Many Sheridan High School classes have never held a reunion.
All it takes, are a few class members willing to spend some
time and effort to make a reunion happen. These can be any classmates
that want to help with a reunion. Class officers, while in high
school, do not necessarily need to be part of a reunion committee.
The main class Reunion (planning) Committee should consist of
at least three people and not more than seven. Leaders may include
a committee chair, treasurer, secretary. Planning should begin
18 to 24 months ahead of the reunion events.
Reunion activities range from very informal to formal and from one event to multiple events over two or three days, usually a Friday through Sunday. Some classes have chosen to coordinate their events with the Annual All Class Picnic that is held the first Sunday of August each year. The All Class Picnic event is sponsored by the Schools Committee of the Sheridan Historical Society.
You can announce your reunion activities on the Sheridan High School group Facebook page. This group has over 1,700 Sheridan alumni members. The web address is: https://www.facebook.com/groups/57638856677/. This is a closed group on Facebook. It is important to answer the questions when requesting to join this group.
If you opt to open a bank account, it suggested you have a
minimum of three signers on the account with two signatures required
for signing checks. The account should be in the name of the group:
"Sheridan High School Class of ____" and not any individual(s).
