Leo F. Davey, was born September 7, 1924, in Sperry, Oklahoma to Martha Cox and Robert W. Davey. Mr. Davey passed away on December 23, 2004 in Englewood, Colorado. He served in the Navy as a Pharmacists Mate 3rd Class during World War II, 1943 to 1946.

Mr. Davey earned his master's degree at Western Illinois University in MacComb, Illinois. He first served in the Akron School District. He then became the Superintendent of the Rocky Ford School District.

Mr. Davey served as the Superintendent of the Sheridan School District #2 from 1973 to 1986. He was also a member of the Colorado State Advisory Council for Occupational Education.

Upon his retirement, Mr. Davey said "In leaving Sheridan I wish to say that I've worked in a good community with a good school board."

Leo is survived by his wife, Helen G. Davey; children, Michael (Mary Ellen), Sharon (Russ), Phil (Anne) and Joan (Ron). Leo is buried at Fort Logan National Cemetary in Denver, Colorado.
