Mr. Carre' was born on October 14, 1939 in Beatrice, Nebraska and received his BA degree from Peru State College of Nebraska. He received his MA from the University of Colorado. He was certified to teach in areas of English, speech, theater, drama, and music.
At Sheridan he taught English and speech. He spent extra time with school drama productions and was the faculty sponsor of the speech teams for Forensics. He was musically talented and performed for classes, assemblies, and school talent shows, playing guitar. Mr. Carre' was a faculty member from 1965 to 1987.
He also wrote poetry, which has been published. He also worked at extra curricular acitivties including scorekeeping for basketball and volleyball, and has been an announcer for football games. Mr. Carre' received a standing ovation from the student body, when the essay he wrote called "Sheridan Spirit" was read at a school assembly. Mr. Carre' also wrote the words and music to the the high school Alma Mater song.
Mr. Carre' passed away on May 20, 1994. He is buried in Fairmount
Cemetery in Denver. His wife Janice passed away in 2003. He is
survived by a daughter, Katherine Carre'.
