He served as Superintendent of Wiley, Colorado from 1993 to 2000. Then as Superintendent of Schools for Stratton from 2000 to 2004. Michaels first position in education was as a social studies teacher and coach in the Weldon Valley School District in Weldona, Colorado.
Mr. Clough has also been a co-chair for the Denver Area School Superintendents Council from 2012 to 2014. Mr. Clough is a Colorado native and hails from Otis, Colorado. He received his BA in History Education from the University of Northern Colorado. He then received his Masters of Arts in Education from the University of Northern Colorado.
Michael had two major accomplishments during his tenure. First was the construction and opening of Fort Logan Northgate school. The other was to get Sheridan schools off the "accountability clock" of chronic and poor academic performance. This saved the district and those schools from state sanctions.
