Tiffany Sorice

Judge Tiffany Sorice was appointed by the Sheridan City Council to be the Presiding Municipal Judge on December 9, 2024, with the appointment effective January 1, 2025.
Judge Sorice has been the Presiding Judge for the City of Thornton since March 7, 2022. Prior to that, she was the Assistant District Attorney for the 17th Judicial District, consisting of Adams and Broomfield Counties. Judge Sorice was the Presiding Judge for the City of Westminster from 2016 to 2021. She previously was a Chief Trial Attorney with the 17th Judicial District Attorney's Office from 2006 through 2015. Prior to that, Judge Sorice practiced criminal defense in the private and public sector for seven years.
Judge Sorice received two degrees from the University of Tulsa, getting her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy in 1996 and Juris Doctorate in 1998. Since becoming a judge, she was asked to teach in four districts around Bangladesh for the National Center for State Courts on their Strengthening the Rule of Law program. She has previously served on boards including Access Housing, Colorado Municipal Judges Association, Colorado District Attorney's Council, Community Corrections, and the Jefferson Academy Charter School. She also coaches high school mock trial and is a member of the Colorado Supreme Court Municipal Rules of Procedure Committee.
Judge Sorice is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Adams
and Broomfield County Bar Association, Women's Bar Association,
and Colorado Municipal Judges Association.
