Albert was born Sept 25, 1933, to Arthur and Sylvia Meyers near
Harbine, Nebraska. He died Tuesday, June 15th, 2010. He was the
5th of nine children: Alberta DeBuhr, Lawrence (Bud) Meyers, Mildred
Gillard, Josephine Ballue, Elvis Edgar (died as infant), Marilyn
Valeu, Joyce Clifton and Dennis Meyers. He is preceded in death
by his parents and sisters Alberta, Mildred, Josephine, Marilyn,
brothers Lawrence and Elvis and his granddaughter Sarah.
Albert attended several rural schools near Brownville, Nebraska and attended Brownville High School. In 1952 he moved to Colorado where he met Margaret Ellen Craig at a country dance. They soon fell in love and were married May 19, 1954 in Raton, New Mexico. They had five sons: Albert Alan, Marvin Alvin, Kenton Eugene, John Edward, and Daniel Craig.
Albert is survived by his wife Margaret and the family he cherished, Albert Alan, wife Shawn and their children, Cody Paul and Amanda Ellen; Marvin Alvin, wife Karen and sons Scott Adam and Kevin Thomas; Kenton Eugene, wife Jodi and son Chad Alan, wife Michelle and great grandson Mark Gabriel; John Edward, wife Tammy and son John Edward Jr, wife Carly and great granddaughter Abigail Ann, daughter Tanya, husband Fred Deering and great grandson Tyler James and great granddaughter Anna Lynn, daughter Tiffany, husband Trevor Khoury and great granddaughter Genevieve Lorea; Daniel Craig, son Daniel Craig Jr., son Justin Albert, wife Hayden and great grandsons Sayd Quin and Jayc Knoll and daughter Breanna Nicole; one sister, Joyce Clifton of Nebraska and one brother Dennis and wife Alice; many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Albert worked for Martin Co., Martin Marietta, Lockheed Martin for 39 years as a heavy equipment operator. He loved his job as he spent his time outdoors. He and Margaret raised their family in Sheridan, Colorado, and moved to Parker in 1989. Albert bought and sold several animals that as his hobby and his joy. This hobby turned into a full time job, but also a labor of love as he truly enjoyed the time he spent with them. He was active in starting several Christian churches in Littleton, Parker and Inspiration.
